At St Thomas More RC College, the pupils education is viewed as a partnership between home and school. Strong links with parents are regarded as essential. St Thomas More PTA is a thriving organisation which exists to enable parents, teachers and pupils to support the school in a practical way by fund-raising for long-term projects which meet the school's needs. The PTA also helps foster effective parent-teacher communication through a varied programme of social events and meetings. The PTA meets about eight times a year. Meetings are friendly and informal. Information about PTA activities and meetings is given through school newsletters and the STM News page on this Web Site. All parents/guardians of our pupils are automatically members of the PTA and participation in the work of the association is warmly valued and encouraged.

Parents are encouraged to become fully involved in the education of their children. The links and relationship between parents and school is strengthened through a system of meetings, reports, presentation evenings and individual attention to the needs of each child. The Partnership Scheme in the pupil's log book symbolises our joint approach to parent and school working together for the child's benefit.
