Challenge Day at Clarendon College

 Challenge Day at Clarendon College

16 Year 10 pupils were selected to go to Clarendon College in Hyde to take part in a challenge competition, where they would compete against other schools in Tameside. Pupils were chosen by subject departments to represent St Thomas More in a series of 6 challenges that would test their resilience, independent and communication skills.
The six challenges were: Scientific, Art, Business, Photography, Media, and Technology

All of the students rose to the challenge and their competitive spirit was evident from the start. Each group worked extremely hard to complete the challenge and to showcase their excellent skills.

Our students managed to win 4 of the 6 challenges, which is a tremendous achievement. Miss Kirk, who is the Head of CPSHE, commented on how the students worked collaboratively and effectively throughout the day. Also, the students won £150 for the departments in our school

Well done to all the students involved and Annalise Stubbs in Year 10 stated: 'I had never had much interest in photography until today, but through this experience, I feel much more passionate and keen to learn more about this subject.
