Christmas Advent Charity Food Bank Appeal
The spirit of Christmas and empathy for others was evident at St Thomas More RC college this year. Mrs Roden, who works on many community outreach projects at STM, organised the Advent Charity Food Appeal to make a difference to the lives of local people in the community this Christmas.
The challenge was to fill 5 shopping trolleys full of food that would be sent to the food bank distribution centre at St Mary’s Church in Haughton Green. Mrs Roden had set the bar high but as always, the students at STM exceeded this expectation by filling XXX shopping trolleys. The generosity of the students, parents and staff highlighted the Catholic ethos that permeates every facet of school life.
