GCSE Drama Students attend the Pulitzer Prize winning play, OUR TOWN.
Year 10 and 11 GCSE Drama students attended the topical and theatrically fresh performance of Our Town at The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. This truly remarkable performance of 'Our Town' by Thornton Wilder explores the concept of human existence and the relationship between Emily and George.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were able to analyse an array of Brechtian techniques, which they have been studying this term. All the students agreed that the ‘live theatre’ experience will help them with their ‘Devising Drama’ piece.
Well done to everybody who came on the trip, and a huge thank you to Miss Hague and Miss Tindale who supported the students on the trip.
