Slavery Museum Trip

Year 8 Slavery Museum Trip

On Friday 14th July students from year 8 visited the Maritime Museum in Liverpool. Pupils enjoyed an artefact handling session followed by a guided tour to further extend their knowledge of the Slave Trade. The trip was incredibly informative and a great way to consolidate their learning of life for African Americans and Afro-British communities.

Museum staff commented on the polite and respectful manner of our pupils, and congratulated them for being so enthusiastic when getting involved in all of the activities.

Well done to year 8 for representing the school in such a fantastic manner, and a big thank you to Miss Lewis, Mrs Forbes and Mr Smith for all their help on the day.
