Year 9 Industry Day
All Year 9 pupils had the opportunity to take part in a day of workshops and activities that focused on Industry and different pathways for their future careers.
They had the opportunity to do hands-on activities in a range of career areas such as Logistics, catering, hair and beauty, computing, sport, carpentry and Joinery, Photography, health and social care, Travel and tourism, engineering, game design. All the students attended a range of highly engaging workshops that focused on the pathways process, careers guidance and opportunities at higher education.
The day was supported by local colleges and businesses, as well as Positive Steps and a graduate officer.
All the students found the workshops, seminars and guidance extremely useful and they commented on how it had helped them to look towards their future goals and careers.
